iLO Console

The iLO Console is a robust tool designed to grant remote server management capabilities from Android devices, enabling enhanced control over HPE ProLiant servers. This tool is a critical asset, as it allows for uninterrupted server operation oversight with the premise that the server remains plugged in, regardless of whether the server is active or inactive, even with an uninitialized hard drive. It ensures users can perform a plethora of administrative tasks remotely, which includes toggling the server power switch, engaging with the operating system through the Remote Console, booting from an ISO image, executing scripts, and accessing the HPE iLO web interface.

With this remote management solution, one can streamline server management by creating a curated server list for regular access. It supports HP ProLiant servers equipped with HP iLO 3 or subsequent editions and necessitates network connectivity to the iLO for operational functionality. Remote access through firewalls is feasible using VPNs or appropriate port forwarding configurations.

The platform integrates high-caliber features like iLO Virtual Media and Remote Console for Blade servers, but note that iLO Advanced licenses are required for full access to these features and certain scripting abilities. While offering significant benefits, users should be mindful of potential high network bandwidth usage, especially when connected via cellular data; utilizing Wi-Fi when available is advisable.

Please be aware of certain limitations: third-party keyboards are unsupported, and older iLO 2 systems are not compatible.
